April is shaping up to be a very fun month: Starting next Saturday Mind Cure is going to be very busy. It all kicks off on the 13th of April at the Heinz History Center where we, along with our PVC parters at I Dig PGH, will be participating in the Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer. This event is taking place from 10am-3pm and we wil have our own section of records amidst all of the other vintage wares. We will even be bringing down some records that have not been out in the shop yet, so make sure to stop down and browse all of the wares, and check out the 1968 exhibit while you are there.
Now as many of you know the following weekend is Record Store Day. We will be participating in Record Store Day by stocking releases from our staple labels including releases from Light in the Attic, Numero, Death Waltz, Almost Ready/Laust Laugh and Matador. There will also be lots of used records going out and the $1 and $2 bins are going to be refreshed with tons of new bargain buys. We will keep updating you with all of our RSD plans so make sure to stay tuned and check out our Facebook and Blog pages for all the up to the minute information.
The weekend after RSD is the 4th installment of the PVC record show at Pittsburgh Filmmakers where there will be tons of records, plus Duquesne beer, movies and a very special performance by the stripped down acoustic duo of Pittsburgh’s own Cynics. For more information about PVC please check out the Facebook page here.
If that wasn’t enough Mind Cure is cruising right through April and into May with our first KISS Alive event, where there will be KISS records, movies and locals Carousel performing a full KISS cover set. If that wasn’t enough there will be KISS Karaoke and a face painting station. For the full details on this not to missed event check out the official event information here.
