New Releaes and Weekend Update

This week a few very high quality releases came into Mind Cure that are sure to get your Labor Day weekend off on the right foot. To get this out of the way and up top, we will be CLOSED MONDAY SEPT. 5th.

First and foremost is a new release from a new(ish) and very promising label – Ulja Factory – the Free Clinic/Half Nelson split LP. This killer slab of wax also features artwork by John Olson of Wolf Eyes fame. This is a limited pressing of 250 copies so make sure you get one at Mind Cure or elsewhere before it is too late.

For more information about Ulja Factory and what they are up to you can check them out here:

Also in this week is a re-stock of Last Laugh and Almost Ready releases that just happened to walk in the door. Among a few other things that came in are copies of:
The Shitdogs – History of Cheese – 2X7″

The Skinnies – Kill the Beat – 7″

Ed Nasty and the Dopeds – I’m Gonna Be Everything – 7″

Hammer Damage – Automatic Lips – 7″

The Kidda Band – Everybody Knows – 7″

and a whole bunch more!

Also in this week is a KILLER LP of The Rev. Charlie Jackson – “You Got to Move: Live Recordings, Vol. 1.” For those of you who are hip to the Rev. Charlie Jackson already, and hopefully already have the collection of rocking-gospel tunes on Crypt, this LP is the must have follow up. For those of you who are not familiar, there is no time like the present to be converted. This LP has the whole package: amazing tunes, heavy weight vinyl, gorgeous “tip-on” Stoughton sleeves and a booklet  filled with photos and detailed information about the recordings. For more information and a few clips of material on the LP check out the 50 Miles of Elbow Room site at:

And lastly, there has been a lot of label talk on here today, and I’d like to keep giving respect to the fine folks who are busy working overtime to churn out records for all of our enjoyment. If you are into it make sure you check back in next week when a full post is devoted to the fine work being done by a really exciting new label: In the Machine Age Records.

Have a great weekend!
